The remake of the drama “Princess Hours” has been confirmed and aims to be released next year.

On February 14, an official from the production company Group8 said, “The drama ‘Princess Hours’ will be remade. We are aiming to produce it in the second half of this year and we are aiming to broadcast it next year. Since it is a remake, there will be differences from the ‘Princess Hours’ released in 2006.”

The 2006 MBC drama “Princess Hours” is based on Park So Hee’s webtoon and depicts the story of South Korea’s ordinary youth entering the palace on the premise of the constitutional monarchy.

It was greatly popular with the highest viewer rating of 28.3%, and the main actors Yoon Eun Hye, Ju Ji Hoon, Song Ji Hyo, and Kim Jung Hoon rose to stardom. Yoon Eun Hye and Ju Ji Hoon won the Best New Female and Best Male Actor awards at the MBC Drama Awards, respectively.

The cast of the remake has yet to be decided.

Production Company Group8 is a production company that produced successful outcomes in 2006 by taking charge of producing “Princess Hours.” The remake will also be produced by Group8.
