The highly anticipated upcoming movie starring Yoo Ah In and Steven Yeun “Burning” released first poster and a teaser trailer.

The upcoming movie tells the story of Jong Soo (Yoo Ah In) who works as a part-timer at a distribution company and his childhood friend Hye Mi (Jeon Jong Seo) who introduces him to a strange man named Ben (Steven Yeun).

The upcoming movie is based on the popular Japanese short story “Barn Burning” written by Haruki Murakami, its been gaining a lot of interest for being director Lee Chang Dong who has a couple of hit movies such as “Oasis,” its also gaining attention because it features Hollywood star Steven Yeun.

The poster released is of Yoo Ah In’s character Jong Soo, who looks terrifying while staring directly through a dirty window with rain droplets.

The teaser trailer showed clips of Jong Soo running through the fog in what appears to be a field, various random images pop up including that of his childhood friend and the new mysterious man he met.

The movie is set to premiere in May. Check out the trailer below!

My Thoughts

Yoo Ah In choices of movies is amazing so no doubt that he chooses a great movie for his comeback project following his early departure of the military.

I also love Steven Yeun, I bet this movie is going to be amazing, Japanese people are known for their horror stories and I bet that director Lee Chang Dong did a great job, can’t wait for May~
