Cha Hak Yeon (N), of the group VIXX, will appear in “Diva on a Deserted Island”.
On March 9th, an official from the management company 51K announced to OSEN, “Actor Cha Hak Yeon will appear in the new drama ‘Diva On A Deserted Island”. He participated in the script reading on March 8th.”
“Diva on a Deserted Island” is a drama about a girl stranded on an uninhabited island while going to Seoul to take an audition, but is rescued after 15 years and tries to become a diva again. Park Eun Bin plays Mok Ha, a girl who dreams of becoming a diva, Kim Hyo Jin plays the forgotten top star Yoon Ran Ju, and Chae Jong Hyeop will appear as the male lead.
Director Oh Choong Hwan, who is recognized for his unique and sensuous directing with works such as “Big Mouse” and “Hotel Del Luna,” will direct the drama, and Park Hye Ryeon, who has drawn emotional and heartwarming stories with dramas such as “Pinocchio,” will write it. In particular, the two are drawing attention since they are working together once again after hits such as “While You Were Sleeping” and “Startup.”
Cha Hak Yeon is currently filming for the role of Yoo Ji Seon in MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Joseon Lawyer”. He is expected to continue “Diva on a Deserted Island” as his next work.
“Diva on a Deserted Island” plans to proceed with filming with the goal of broadcasting within the year.
