Senior actor Kim Seok Heon (Kim Young-hyeon), who was popular in the film industry in the 1960s, passed away on the 28th of May.
Kim Seok Heon was 94 years old.
According to the film industry and bereaved families on the 29th of May, Kim Seok Heon passed away at 1:46 pm the previous day due to old age. His mortuary was set up in Room 11 of the Funeral Hall of St. Mary’s Hospital in Seoul, and his burial was at 1:20 pm on the 30th.
Kim Seok Heon, a graduate of Cheongju University of Education, worked as a clerk at the Seoul District Court before making his debut in 1957 with director Yoo Jae Won’s “Unforgettable People.”
He rose to stardom in 1960 with “Sunshine Field.” He stopped his acting activities in 1993 with director Kwak Jae Yong’s ‘Watercolor on a Rainy Day’.
