Famous Korean Actress Lee Young Ae has made a generous donation to help Ukraine during these difficult times.
On March 1, Ukraine ambassador Dmytro Ponomarenko took to Twitter to share a letter and a check from Lee Young Ae. He wrote,
“We are very excited and touched by the letter and the great financial contribution of the famous Korean actress Lee Young Ae in support of Ukraine and the demand to end the war as soon as possible! The donations will be transferred to the needs of victims of Russian aggression.”
She donated 100 Million Won [around $80,000] and in her letter, she says, ‘I sincerely hope that the war will stop and peace will be established in Ukraine as soon as possible. I pray for the well-being and safety of all Ukrainian citizens.’
