Uhm Hyun Kyung and Cha Seo Won have announced their marriage and the news of their pregnancy. The two actors became a couple through the MBC drama “Second Husband.”
On the 5th of June, Cha Seo Won’s agency, Namoo Actors, stated, “Cha Seo Won Uhm Hyun Kyung and became connected through their work and developed a romantic relationship after the drama ended, based on their mutual affection. The two are currently dating with the intention of marriage, and they plan to hold a wedding ceremony after Cha Seo Won, who enlisted in the military in November last year, completes his military service. Cha Seo Won is scheduled to be discharged in May next year.”
They also revealed, “In the midst of this, a precious new life has come to them like a blessing. The two are eagerly and cautiously awaiting the arrival of this precious life. We ask for your understanding that we cannot provide detailed information about this blessing they received, as they want to share it quietly and devoutly. Uhm Hyun Kyung’s agency also expressed their position via an official similar statement. They also shared, “In the midst of this, a precious new life has come to them like a blessing. We deeply thank everyone who has always loved and supported Uhm Hyun Kyung and ask for your generous encouragement and warm gaze for the future of the two actors.”
Uhm Hyun Kyung made her debut in 2006 with the sitcom “Rainbow Romance” and has appeared in dramas such as “Just Run,” “Defendant,” and “Single Wife.” Cha Seo Won debuted in 2013 with the SBS drama “The Heirs” and has appeared in “My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol” and “Why, Oh Soo-jung,” among others.
Cha Seo Won and Uhm Hyun Kyung became a couple while working together in the MBC drama “Second Husband,” which aired from 2021 to 2022.
Cha Seo Won enlisted in the army as an active-duty soldier on November 22 last year and is fulfilling his military duty, while Uhm Hyun Kyung will focus on prenatal care and prepare for childbirth for the time being.
