Actor Yoo Ah In is under police investigation for alleged habitual use of propofol and a recent report has emerged stating that he has tested positive for marijuana according to the results of a drug test conducted by the National Institute of Scientific Investigation (NISI).

The report by the Korean Ilbo states that the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Narcotics Crime Investigation Department conducted a urine test and found that Yoo Ah In tested positive for marijuana. Marijuana is hard to detect in a urine test after 7 to 10 days, this means there’s a high possibility of him allegedly using marijuana just recently. The police later confirmed this to be true.

According to the report, the urine test for Propofol came back negative. In the case of propofol, an expert was quoted saying it disappears from the body after 3 or 4 days, and it is difficult to confirm with a urine test. It is also reported that the police have started investigating the actor for marijuana use based on this information.

In response to the shocking new report, a representative of Yoo Ah In’s agency stated that they have no information on the matter and will not comment beyond their previous official statement. To another news outlet, they expressed they were not made aware or given contact about any police investigation record on the matter.

Recently, Yoo Ah In was rumored to have habitually taken Propofol and was taken into custody by the police who issued a warrant for a physical search at Incheon International Airport five days ago.

The police ordered an examination, and took measures to prevent him from leaving the country due to concerns about overseas travel. Then, on the 6th, he appeared at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency to receive an investigation on suspicion of violating the Controlled Substance Act.

At the time, UAA said, “We are actively cooperating with all investigations related to this and we plan to actively explain in areas that are problematic. We apologize for causing any concern.”
