“The Veil” Actress Kim Ji Eun has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
On August 19, her agency, HB Entertainment stated via an official statement that the actress has been diagnosed with the virus, after she finished filming for her drama on August 11, she attended a meal and crossed paths with a confirmed case.
After finding out, she got tested right away and initially received a negative result on August 17, however, as her symptoms worsened she tested again and the results came out positive. She’d gone into self-quarantine since she encountered the positive case and will now transfer to a treatment facility.
The actress was filming for “The Veil,” an upcoming blockbuster drama led by Namgoong Min. The production staff behind the drama issued a statement to clarify that none of their cast or crew was in close contact with her. However, they were all advised to get tested. Since a large portion of the filming has been completed, they stated that it will not likely impact the broadcasting schedule.
