Will we be seeing “The Uncanny Counter” season 2 soon?

On December 23, various news outlets reported that the hit OCN drama “The Uncanny Counter” is in the process of checking the schedule of the main cast in order to prepare for a second season.

According to an insider, since “The Uncanny Counter” wasn’t originally made with seasons in mind, the production had to consider many things, the most important being the main cast schedule, they plan on checking that and prepare to film for “The Uncanny Counter” season 2 in September of 2021 and air it in the first half of 2022.

Later, OCN confirmed that they’re in the process of turning the drama into a seasonal series; however, they revealed that it’s difficult to comment on the exact production details since nothing has been decided yet.

“The Uncanny Counter” has become the most successful drama in OCN’s history, it’s based on a webtoon and tells the story of demon hunters known as ‘counters’ who disguise themselves as employees of a noodle restaurant while hunting down evil spirits. The drama stars Jo Byeong Gyu, Yoo Joon Sang, gugudan‘s Kim Sejeong, and Yeom Hye Ran.

Would you watch a second season of “The Uncanny Counter”?

My personal thoughts- by Jass K.

I guess it’s understandable that OCN would want to make a second season of “The Uncanny Counter,” so far, I’ve been enjoying it but I don’t know how to feel about a second season because you can easily tell from the structure of the drama that it was made for one season, as the officials said.

If they return, then I hope the four main cast members return to reprise their roles. It’s a fun drama that can become serious at times; I hope the second season won’t come at the expense of the first one.

I guess, they could continue to fight evil souls in another city in the second season, what makes this one so special is how personally we take the main characters struggles because the evil spirits have harmed them and their families, I wonder if they’ll be able to replicate that feeling with a second season.
