“The Story Of Park’s Marriage Contract” Claims The Top Spot As Ratings Battle With “My Demon” Starts
Two new weekend dramas have premiered and here is who came on top!
On November 24, both SBS and MBC premiered new dramas, “The Story Of Park’s Marriage Contract” and “My Demon.” Both dramas compete in the same time slot.
According to Nielsen Korea, “The Story Of Park’s Marriage Contract” 1st episode recorded an average nationwide rating of 5.6% coming on top of its time slot.
“The Story Of Park’s Marriage Contract” is led by Lee Se Young, Bae In Hyuk, Joo Hyun Young, and Yoo Seon Ho. It tells the story of a contract marriage between Park Yeon Woo (Lee Se Young), a 19th-century ambitious Confucian girl who crosses over time and reaches Korea in 2023, and Kang Tae Ha [Bae In Hyuk], a 21st-century emotionless boss king.
“My Demon”—which airs in the same time slot as “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract”— recorded 4.5% in ratings. This is notably lower than its predecessor “The Escape of the Seven” ratings for its premiere, it had recorded 6% in ratings for its 1st episode.
The drama led by Kim Yoo Jung, Song Kang, Lee Sang Yi, Jo Hye Joo, and more is a fantasy romantic comedy that revolves around the contract marriage between Do Do Hee (played by Kim Yoo Jung), an heiress who is like a devil, and Jeong Guwon (played by Song Kang), a demon who lost his abilities in an instant. It depicts a love story of salvation with a sweet but dangerous devil who gives limited happiness and leads to hell.
