“The Outlaws 3” Surpasses 2 Million Ticket Sales In Record Time
The Korean crime action film “The Outlaws 3” has surpassed 2 million viewers on its third day of release.
According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated ticketing system, as of 2:00 PM on the second day, “The Outlaws 3” exceeded 2 million viewers. The box office performance of “The Outlaws 3” is drawing attention for surpassing the previous installment “The Outlaws 2” which set the highest box office record during the pandemic period, in reaching 2 million viewers on its fourth day.
Furthermore, it achieved the first 2 million milestone among Korean film releases this year, injecting new vitality into the Korean film industry, which had experienced a slump for about five months since ‘The Hero’ achieved 2 million viewers in January, released in December of the previous year.
“The Outlaws 3”depicts the thrilling operation of Detective Ma Seok-do (Ma Dong Seok), an irreplaceable monster-like detective who moves to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency to capture Ju Sung-chul (Lee Joon Hyuk), the mastermind behind a new drug crime, and another villain involved in the drug case, Ricky. The film is currently enjoying a successful run in theaters nationwide.
