On the 26th, at the JTBC drama “The Good Bad Mother” production presentation, which was held online, the cast talked about the newly released drama.

The Good Bad Mother,” which aired its first episode at 10:30 pm on this day, is a story of a mother who had to become a bad mother because of her child, and a son who became a child due to an unexpected accident finding the happiness he lost.

Ra Mi Ran plays the role of Jin Yeong-soon, a bad mother who lived fiercely to protect her child. Jin Yeong-soon, who runs a pig farm and raises her son alone, is a character who chooses to be a bad mother to avoid inheriting the pain.

Ra Mi Ran emphasized, “The character was lovable, and the story development was very fast. It’s the first time I’ve read a script so quickly, concentrating and enjoying it.”

When asked about the differences between her previous works as a mother in “Reply 1988,” and “My Unfamiliar Family,” Ra Mi Ran said, “It’s a bit funny to pick out something special because every mother in the world is different.” She added, “Even when the mother looks bad in the eyes of her child, the heart of a mother who loves her child is the same.”

In “The Good Bad Mother,” Jin Yeong-soon does not give her son a full meal or warm up his room when he’s cold and doesn’t even send him on a picnic that everyone else goes on. She fiercely teaches him and makes him a prosecutor in the end.

After returning to the small screen with “The Good Bad Mother” following the Netflix original series “The Glory,” Lee Do Hyun said, “My character Kang Ho is completely different from the lead character in ‘The Glory.’ Kang Ho has many diverse aspects. Even though he grew up under a ‘bad’ mom, he himself can also be seen as a ‘bad’ son. I felt like he was similar to that kind of son of his mom. But fortunately, he grew up well. There are no similarities. If I had to point out one similarity, it would be that both characters, a doctor and a prosecutor, studied hard.”

Regarding the dramatic change in his character, Lee Do Hyun said, “To be honest, it was very difficult. The difficult parts were led by the director and senior actor Ra Mi Ran, who worked together. I was worried that if my portrayal of the childlike aspects of the character appeared exaggerated to the viewers, it would lack authenticity. We had to adjust the level of the portrayal. It wasn’t easy, but it was a very interesting process. Even I laughed a lot when I acted as a 7-year-old child. I became brighter. So, Ra Mi Ran found it strange and curious because I was so different from when I played the role of a prosecutor’s son. It was difficult to adjust the portrayal, but it was enjoyable.”

In addition to her role as a crybaby character in “One Person Only,” Ahn Eun Jin returns to the screen as a cheerful character after a long time. Ahn Eun Jin said, “I think the synchronization rate with the character is about 80%. We have a similar aspect of getting up with the power of positivity even in difficult situations, but I’m not sure if that’s correct.”

“The Good Bad Mother” aired its first episode earlier today.
