Han Suk Kyu’s upcoming MBC drama “Such A Close Traitor” has confirmed its premiere date!
The upcoming drama revolves around Korea’s top profiler, Jang Tae-soo (played by Han Suk Kyu), who becomes entangled in the secrets of his daughter related to a murder.
Tae-soo, who voluntarily walks the path of crime behavior analysis from an unfamiliar time when the term “profiling” was new, gains unparalleled respect and trust within the police organization. However, everything is shaken to its core after a certain incident. Struggling to protect his beloved daughter, he engages in a fierce battle to uncover the truth.
On September 4, MBC unveiled the 1st ever-teaser poster of the drama featuring Han Suk Kyu giving a stern look as he sits in a gloomy dark room perceived to be that of an interrogation room. Along with it, it was confirmed that the drama will air on October 11.
Han Suk Kyu’s return to MBC comes after 29 years since “Hotel” (1995). It will be directed by Song Yeon-hwa PD, who directed “Wild Boar Hunt” (2022). The script, written by Han A-young, was selected in the MBC Drama Script Contest in 2021 and has been developed into a mini-series over three years.
