“Squid Game” Snags Three Golden Globe Nominations

“Squid Game” has achieved yet another record no other Kdrama has ever been able to do, it has been nominated for the Golden Globes.

On December 13 local time, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for their annual Golden Globe Awards.

Netflix’s hit drama “Squid Game” earned three nominations at the 2022 Golden Globes.

“Squid Game” is nominated for Best Television Series, “Lupin,” “The Morning Show,” “Pose,” and “Succession” are nominated in the same category.

Lee Jung Jae is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama competing against Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong in “Succession,” Billy Porter in “Pose,” and Omar Sy in “Lupin.”

Oh Young Soo is nominated for Best Supporting Actor – Television up against Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass in “The Morning Show,” Kieran Culkin in “Succession,” and Brett Goldstein in “Ted Lasso.”

The 79th Golden Globes will be held on January 9, 2022.
