“Squid Game” Snags 2 Awards At The 27th Critics Choice Awards
Netflix’s most successful series “Squid Game” has won 2 awards at the 27th Critics Choice Awards!
The 27th Critics Choice Awards was held in Los Angeles, California on March 13. “Squid Game” won two awards out of three which they were nominated for. They won Best Foreign Language Series and Best Actor in a Drama Series (Lee Jung Jae).
“Squid Game” was also nominated for Best Drama Series, which the drama “Succession” won the award for.
In the Best Foreign Language Series award, “Squid Game” competed against Acapulco, Call My Agent!, Lupin, Money Heist, and Narcos: Mexico (Netflix). While in the Best Actor in a Drama Series award, Lee Jung Jae competed against Sterling K. Brown “This Is Us,” Mike Colter “Evil,” Brian Cox “Succession,” Billy Porter “Pose,” and Jeremy Strong “Succession.”
In addition, Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae Soo, and Jung Ho Yeon appeared as presenters for the award for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television.
“Squid Game” previously made History at The 2022 SAG Awards, The drama ended up taking home three of the four awards that night, breaking and setting multiple records worldwide. Lee Jung Jae also won the award for Best Male Performance in a new Scripted Series at the 37th Independent Spirit Awards.
