Following the news of actor Song Joong Ki’s marriage and his wife’s pregnancy, he shared his feelings about attending the Cannes Film Festival for the first time.
Recently, Song Joong Ki conducted an interview regarding the film “Hopeless,” an attention-grabbing selection at the 76th Cannes International Film Festival, at the Salon Gray d’Albion in Cannes, Southern France.
When asked about his recent good news, Song Joong Ki laughed and said, “There are many good things happening lately. A baby is on the way, and honestly, although Cannes is very exciting, my focus is entirely on the upcoming birth of the baby.” He continued, “I want Cannes to end quickly so that I can go to my wife. Cannes is great, but I have a lot of gratitude.”
He further expressed, “I have been thinking that I should live with a positive and grateful mindset. I have had good things and significant events happening in my life, and then I ended up coming to Cannes. Since all these good things happened at once, I am trying not to get too excited and maintain a calm demeanor,” he smiled.
Directed by Kim Chang-hoon, “Hopeless” is a noir drama that depicts the story of a young boy, Yeon-gyu, who wants to escape from a hellish reality and ends up getting involved with the middle boss of an organization in a precarious world. The film was invited to the notable section of the Cannes Film Festival this year.
