JTBC has unveiled the full casting line-up of their most anticipated upcoming drama “The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate”!
“The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate” is based on the hit web novel of the same name and tells the story of a man [Song Joong Ki] who was killed after being framed for embezzlement by a chaebol family, a family he’s served for over 10 years. He gets reborn as the youngest son of the chaebol family [Sunyang Group] and plans revenge by gradually taking over their empire.
The drama is written by Kim Tae Hee of “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” and “A Beautiful Mind,” and it will be directed by Jung Dae Yoon of “She Was Pretty” and “W.”
The actors working on this project are gorgeous, too. Song Joong Ki plays double characters in the drama and goes back and forth between Yoon Hyun Woo, a loyal secretary of the chaebol family, and Jin Do Jun, the youngest son of the chaebol family, to make up for a thrilling transformation. Yoon Hyun Woo was an all-around solver of the Sunyang family. He was falsely accused and abandoned, he then returns as the Sunyang family’s youngest son, Jin Do Jun, he wages a war against them.
Actor Lee Sung Min, who does not need words to describe him, plays Jin Yang Chul, the head of Sunyang Group, and rules as an emperor, giving off an overwhelming aura. Jin Yang Chul, who rose to number one in the business world after his poor childhood, gets ready for the final match with endless longing for money and relentless coldness.
Shin Hyun Bin, who has an unrivaled acting color, takes on the role of Seo Min Young, an anti-corruption investigation prosecutor from a prestigious legal family. She is a persistent competitor who goes back and forth between the boundaries of evasion of the law and illegality in order to bring justice, and has the nickname of “the Grim Reaper of Sunyang land.” Attention is drawn to the synergy that the three actors will show and how their narratives are intertwined across the times with each other.
The meeting of “acting masters” who will focus on perfection is also indispensable. Yoon Je Moon plays the role of Jin Young Ki, the eldest son of Jin Yang Cheol (played by Lee Sung Min), and leads one part of the drama.
Kim Jung Nan takes on the role of Son Jeong Rae, the wife of Jin Young Ki, who has typical chaebol reasoning and carelessness at the same time, adding to the vitality.
Jo Han Chul plays the role of Jin Yang Chul’s second son, Jin Dong Ki, who has tricks under his sleeve and will once again prove a wide acting spectrum. Seo Jae Hee, who has a unique charm, plays Yoo Ji Na, the wife of Jin Dong Ki from a prestigious family.
On the other hand, Kim Young Jae plays Jin Yoon Ki, Jin Yang Chul’s third son and shows soft charisma.
Jung Hye Young plays the role of Lee Hae In who works for Jin Yoon Ki and is the mother of former top star Jin Do Joon.
In addition, Kim Hyun Eun, who boasts solid experience, will further enhance the fun of the drama with her intimate presence as Lee Pil Ok, the wife of Jin Yang Chul, who is considered a contributor to the founding of the Sunyang Empire.
