Song Jae Rim Had Just Signed with a New Agency Before His Passing; CEO Expresses Deep Shock

As actor the late Song Jae Rim has suddenly passed away, the head of his new agency, who had witnessed the deceased’s exceptional passion for acting, expressed sorrow.

According to YTN’s report on November 13, after his exclusive contract with Saram Entertainment expired last year, Song Jae Rim had been working solo in the first half of this year. After long discussions, he recently decided on a new agency to join, a newly established management company founded by industry veteran Manager A.

In a phone call with YTN, Manager A said, ‘He was well-known as a good-natured actor, highly recommended by those around him, and we had several meetings starting early this year before signing the contract. We discussed many aspects of his work, and he was an actor with a real passion for acting, eager to take on many projects.’

Song Jae Rim was also awaiting the release of several completed works. He was set to appear in the film Crash: The Man Who Failed in Business and the drama Bloody Romance. Manager A expressed sadness, saying, ‘Now, it seems there’s nothing I can do but stay by Jae Rim’s side until the day he leaves.’

On November 12, police confirmed the beloved actor was found dead in his apartment. Police also told media outlets that a two-page letter was reportedly found at the scene. Not only that, but the actor’s activities on Instagram prior to his passing have been gaining attention too causing a lot of sadness among fans.

The mortuary for the deceased has been set up in Room 2 of the funeral hall at Yeouido St. Mary’s Hospital in Seoul. The funeral ceremony will take place at noon on the 14th.
