A red light has been turned on “The History of Losers” starring Song Ha Yoon and Jo Byeong Gyu!
On the 2nd of April, multiple drama industry officials told MK Sports, “The release date of ‘The History of Losers’ is currently undecided. There is nothing definite about it, but the internal situation is not good due to Song Ha Yoon’s school violence controversy.”
Based on the webtoon of the same name, “The History of Losers” is a drama that deals with the stories of twenty-year-old youth. It has cast actors such as Jo Byeong Gyu, Song Ha Yoon, and the filming has already been completed in advance.
However, with Song Ha Yoon embroiled in allegations of school violence, “The History of Losers” has also become shaky. Previously, “The History of Losers” went through a tough situation due to the “school violence allegations.” Jo Byeong Gyu faced allegations of school violence in February 2021. After the whistleblower admitted to fabricating false facts, the controversy subsided once, but it resurfaced as the whistleblower demanded public verification again before the first broadcast of the drama “The Uncanny Counter 2.”
As the controversy escalated, Jo Byeong Gyu denied the suspicions at the production presentation of “The Uncanny Counter 2,” saying, “I did my best to prove that it was not true until the end,” but public perception of him remains negative.
