MBC has released new interesting character posters for their upcoming drama “Doctor Lawyer”!
“Doctor Lawyer” tells the story of a genius medical surgeon named Han Yi Han who loses everything after an unknown manipulation to his surgery. He returns as a medical lawyer. It also tells the story of a prosecutor from the medical crimes department who loses their family and lover through that surgery.
The newly released posters feature the main cast, it captures the two different aspects of each character. The first one is Han Yi Han (So Ji Sub), he is a genius surgeon who returned as a lawyer specializing in medical litigation. Because of an incident that happened four years ago, his medical license was revoked and that’s why he became a lawyer. He tries to find out the truth behind the reason for this mysterious incident. In his poster, he shows his two sides, one being a lawyer and the other being a doctor. The text reads, “There is no difference between a doctor and a lawyer. Because doctors save lives and lawyers save livelihoods,” making viewers look forward to So Ji Sub portrayal of this character, especially since this is his first drama in four years.
Next is Jayden Lee (Shin Sung Rok), he is he head of the Asian branch of Honors Hand, a company specializing in lobby and investment. He can control everything with his words and actions, he does whatever it takes to achieve success. He is a hidden character that is out of reach and is expected to be a key character in the drama. While his face on the left shows his soft eyes and trustable nature, his picture on the right says otherwise, his eyes are cold and his smile is crazy. The text reads, “Winner takes it all,” which raises curiosity about this character.
And lastly, Im Soo Hyang takes on the role of prosecutor Geum Seok Young of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office’s Medical Crimes Department. She’s a firm believer that criminals are not rehabilitated through forgiveness and leniency but through harsh punishment. As for those who are innocent, she’s more than willing to declare their innocence than even their own lawyers. Her poster shows her two sides, one shows her soft and innocent smile and the other shows the exact opposite of that, she looks saddened by something as if she is trying to repress her emotions. The text reads, “As a prosecutor, my values are to be weak for the weak, and strong against the strong,” making viewers look forward to Geum Seok Young’s unexpected change of character.
“Doctor Lawyer” is set to premiere on May 27.
