Singer and actor Lee Eru (39, Jo Seong Hyun) apologized for drunk driving.
On December 20th, Eru said on Instagram,
I apologize for causing concern with my wrong actions. There is no excuse for driving drunk. I will stop all entertainment activities and have time for self-reflection. I will deeply reflect and regret and look back so that this will not happen again.
He is the son of trot singer Tae Jin Ah (69, Jo Bang Heon). He is also expected to get off the KBS 2TV evening daily drama “Secret Woman”, which is scheduled to be broadcast early next year. This drama tells the story of a woman who loses her eyesight due to her husband and mistress and falls into ‘lock-in syndrome’ (conscious paralysis). Eru was cast as YJ Group’s successor, Nam Yujin. The team of the “Secret Woman” said that they are discussing this issue.
According to the Seoul Yongsan Police Station on the same day, Eru was charged with violating the Road Traffic Act. He is suspected of causing an accident at around 11:25 pm the previous day while driving drunk near Handam Bridge to Dongho Bridge in the direction of Guri, Buk-ro, Gangbyeon. It crashed into the right guardrail and was overturned, and the male passenger was also reported to have suffered minor injuries. Eru’s blood alcohol level was found to be at the license suspension level (0.03% or more and less than 0.08%).
