Shin Se Kyung has signed with a new agency!
On July 5, a source from EDAM Entertainment revealed that Shin Se Kyung has decided to sign an exclusive contract with them, and that they will unveil their official position this afternoon after wrapping discussions regarding the contract.
Shin Se Kyung has recently departed Namoo Actors, the agency she’s been a part of for 19 years.
Later in the day, IU posted a photo of rice cakes that EDAM Entertainment staff shared throughout Kakao M, which EDAM is a subsidiary of. The rice cakes are in celebration of welcoming a new family member, IU captioned the photo with,
“oh yay, a new family member.”
Shin Se Kyung also shared the sweet gifts she’s received as welcoming presents. EDAM Entertainment staff gifted her a cake with her dogs Jin Guk and Sa Rang. IU also gifted her a signed album with a sweet message that reads, “Let’s become close friends! Thank you.”
Shin Se Kyung has been active in the industry for a long time after making her debut in 1998. Since then, she’s appeared in many dramas such as “Tree With Deep Roots,” “Six Flying Dragons,” “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung,” and “Run On,” along with the films “Cinderella,” “Hindsight,” and “Tazza: The Hidden Card.”
