Seo Kang Joon Talks About Why He Took On The Role Of Nam Shin In Upcoming Drama “Are You Human Too?”
The upcoming KBS drama “Are You Human Too?” is gearing up for its premiere, we’re less than a month away from the first episode.
Its heroine Seo Kang Joon recently sat down for an interview and revealed the real reason why he chose to lead the upcoming drama.
He is taking on two roles, the role of Nam Shin and the role of the robot Nam Shin II who replaces Nam Shin after he suffers from a car accident that leaves him in a coma.
The two characters are nothing alike; the robot is friendly, nice and only wants to help people while the human Nam Shin is a cocky chaebol who created walls between him and others since he was a kid.
Seo Kang Joon said,
“The theme of robots isn’t easy, its scary, but I wanted to try it out. The most influencing thought I had was ‘when else would I be able to act as a man-made object?’”
About tackling two roles in one drama he said,
“From the start, I studied for the two characters separately, thinking I would be playing two characters in two works. At times, it was difficult because there were points of compromise or collision between both characters, but I learned a lot from many aspects.”
“Are You Human Too?” will air its first episode on June 4.

My Thoughts
“Are You Human Too?” has been heavily advertised since early 2018, and I believe I started reporting on the drama more than 6 months ago, now we’re less than a month away from one of the most expensive productions of 2018.
The drama has reportedly cost around 10 billion Won to make (roughly 8 million dollars), its all about high tech and fancy gear; I hope that the plot won’t suck!
The heavy advertising might end up negatively affecting the drama, but I sure hope that this isn’t the case.
Anyhow, I am excited but a bit afraid that I’ll be disappointed when it airs, hopefully, both leads won’t disappoint us.
