“Revenant” and “Numbers” are enjoying a boost in ratings!
Last week, SBS debuted its new drama “Revenant” while MBC debuted its new drama “Numbers,” both dramas compete in the same time slot and attention was focused on how well they’d perform.
“Revenant” took the top spot with its 1st episode this week too. According to Nielsen Korea, “Revenant” scored an average nationwide rating of 11%.
“Revenant” is a story about a poor young woman named San-young (played by Kim Tae Ri) who can see revenants, and a folklorist named Hae-sang (played by Oh Jung Se) who unravels mysterious deaths. Star writer Kim Eun Hee, known for works like “Sign,” “Ghost,” “Signal,” and “Kingdom,” and director Lee Jung Lim, who showed meticulous sensibility in “VIP,” joined forces for this project.
While “Numbers” premiered to 4.7% in average viewership ratings, its highest yet too.
“Numbers” is a human office comedy that depicts the story of an accountant, who is a high school graduate, confronting irregularities in a large accounting firm and striving to achieve justice in the most unorthodox manner. It is expected to deliver a tense and captivating story as accountants uncover the irregularities within the accounting firm and strive to establish justice.
