Ra Mi Ran, Lee Do Hyun, and Ahn Eun Jin’s “Bad Mother” will premiere in April.

JTBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Bad Mother”, directed by Shim Na Yeon, and written by Bae Se Young is about an unexpected accident with a mother, Young Soon (Ra Mi Ran), who had no choice but to be a bad mother for her children. It is a touching healing comedy in which a son, Kang Ho (played by Lee Do Hyun) searches for lost happiness. The story of the mother and child who set out to find true happiness only after everything is reset gives a touching feeling with a pleasant laugh. Director Shim Na Yeon, who directed “The Host”, who was honored with the Best Drama Award in the TV category at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards, and writer Bae Se Young, who was recognized for their sensuous writing skills through the films “Life is Beautiful”, “Extreme Job” and “Perfect Others”, collaborated on this project. It will also feature Yoo In Soo, Jung Woong In, Choi Moo Seong, Seo Yi Suk, Kim Won Hae, Jang Won Young, Kang Mal Geum, Baek Hyun Jin, and Hong Bira.

Ra Mi Ran plays Young Soon, a bad mother who has lived a tenacious life to protect her children. Young Soon, who raised her son alone while running a pig farm, took on the role of a bad mother in order not to pass on her pain.

Lee Do Hyun transforms into Kang Ho, the son of a prosecutor who became a child in an unexpected accident. Kang Ho, whose mother’s plan could not help but become his own life, harbored his own secrets and became a cold-blooded prosecutor. Turning away from his mother and running for success, he becomes a child in an unexpected accident and lives a new life with a bad mother.

Kang Ho’s old friend and only resting place, Mi Joo, is played by Ahn Eun Jin. Mi Joo, who has a deep heart, is a bold character who cannot tolerate injustice. She returns to her hometown after burning all of her love and honor and is broke and faces a change when she reunites with Kang Ho, who has become a child.

Yoo In Soo injects pleasant energy into the village’s troublemaker and pure macho Bang Sam Sik’. Yoo In Soo, who left an impact through “Alchemy Of Souls” and “All Of Us Are dDad”, unravels Bang Sam Sik, who cannot be hated, in his own way. Here, with their overwhelming presence, Jung Woong In and Choi Moo Seong, who will be in charge of another axis of the story, also stimulate anticipation.

Jung Woong In will play Oh Tae Soo, a prosecutor-turned-member of the National Assembly, for the next presidency, and Choi Moo Seong plays Song Woo Byeok, the chairman of Woobyeok Group, who uses Choi Kang Ho to connect with Oh Tae Soo.

Seo Yi Suk plays the role of Mr. Park, the owner of the mill and the mother of Bang Sam Sik, and Kim Won Hae plays the role of the millennial director who is in charge of Jowuri’s Daeso Temple, exploding his extraordinary comic skills. Jang Won Young, who has played the role of licorice in each work, is the husband of Mr. Park and the brain of Jowuri. Kang Mal Geum is the mother of Lee Mi Joo, who has sacrificed only for her husband and children all her life. In addition, Baek Hyun Jin will play the role of ‘Trotback,’ an eccentric composer with an ambition to build a large-scale concert hall in his hometown of Jowuri.

Also, Hong Bira in the role of Oh Ha Yeong, the only daughter of Oh Tae Soo, and Park Da On in the role of twin siblings Ye Jin and Seo Jin, are new friends of Choi Kang Ho, who becomes a child. Expectations are high that such colorful characters and stories will fill the drama more abundantly.

The production team of “Bad Mother” said, “It is a pleasant and warm healing comedy that will provide a different kind of fun that has never been seen before.”

“Bad Mother” will premiere on April 26th.
