One of the biggest 2018 summer kdramas “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” has a specific YouTube video that has been getting tons of views and no one can pin point the exact reason why.
The particular video is a steamy kiss and bed scene between the two leading characters in “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim”? played by Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young. The kiss scene is from the 13th episode of the drama and the couple spent their first night together.
Around a month ago, the video reached 100 million views and as of September 7, the video has already surpassed 200 million views. This is impressive and unheard of for a Korean drama clip on YouTube.
Some attribute the rising popularity due to COVID-19 which caused a lot of people to stay home thus revitalizing interest in kdramas and watching more content on YouTube. Others attribute it to the rising popularity of Park Seo Joon, he gained many new fans after his hit drama “Itaewon Class” and it could be that many are searching up his previous dramas as a result.
