tvN has unveiled the star-studded lineup for its upcoming drama “Marry My Husband”!
tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Marry My Husband” announced on the 25th of October that Park Min Young, Na In Woo, Lee Yi Kyung, Song Ha Yoon, Gikwang, and Gong Min Jung will be starring in the drama.
“Marry My Husband” is a drama that tells the story of a woman who witnesses her best friend and husband’s affair and is murdered, only to go back in time 10 years and experience her life for the second time in order to change the fate of those involved.
Based on the popular web novel of the same name, the drama is adapted by writer Shin Yoo-dam, who previously captured both fun and meaningful messages with the drama ‘Day and Night’. Director Park Won-guk, known for his outstanding storytelling skills in the series ‘Special Labor Inspector Jo’ and ‘Doctor Prisoner’, will take charge of directing. The combination of talented actors Park Min Young, Na In Woo, Lee Yi Kyung, Song Ha Yoon, Gikwang , and Gong Min Jung has been attracting a lot of attention.
Park Min Young will play the role of Kang Ji-won, a woman who is killed by her husband and best friend and goes back in time 10 years to start a new life. Kang Ji-won, who is used to enduring everything in life, undergoes a complete change in attitude and tries to change her fate.
Na In Woo will portray the perfect Lee Ji-hyuk, who has both looks and intelligence. Lee Ji-hyuk can do anything he sets his mind to, but he becomes nervous and awkward in front of Kang Ji-won (played by Park Min Young), whom he has a crush on.
Lee Yi Kyung will play the role of Park Min-hwan, Kang Ji-won’s husband before she goes back in time. Park Min-hwan is a self-centered character who considers himself the most important person in the world and treats his wife as a servant. He will leave a mark in the history of problematic husband characters with his portrayal of Park Min-hwan, who can provoke anger with just a single word.
Song Ha Yoon will hint at the birth of a new villain as Kang Ji-won’s best friend, Jung Soo-min. Jung Soo-min is someone who appears gentle on the outside but has a twisted inner self full of insatiable greed.
Lee Gikwang will play the role of the successful chef Baek Eun-ho, who was involved with both Kang Ji-won and Jung Soo-min in the past. The story of Baek Eun-ho, who reunites with his first love Kang Ji-won, whom he has memories of from high school, raises curiosity about how he will act. Gong Min Jung adds realism to the drama as Kang Ji-won’s colleague at work, Yang Joo-ran. Yang Joo-ran is a character who always plays the victim, both at work and at home. The focus is on how Yang Joo-ran will experience a change in life after meeting Kang Ji-won in her second chance at life.
The drama will premiere on January 1, 2024.
