Park Ji Hoon, Choi Hyun Wook, And Hong Kyung Confirmed For Upcoming Action Drama Based On A Webtoon

Park Ji Hoon, Choi Hyun Wook, and Hong Kyung will be starring in the upcoming drama “Weak Hero”!

“Weak Hero” is an action drama that tells the story of a student who is in the top 1%. Despite appearing weak on the surface, he fights violence inside and outside of school using his brains and analytical powers.

“Weak Hero” is going to be an 8 episodes drama and will be directed and written by Yoo Soo Min.

Park Ji Hoon will play Yeon Si Eun, a very smart boy who uses his brain and analytical powers to develop strategic and creative fighting skills to subdue violence inside and outside of school. He is an outsider who has no interest in anything except studying but that all changes when he meets Ahn Su Ho and Oh Beom Seok. Park Ji Hoon has previously appeared in “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency,” “Love Revolution,” and “At a Distance Spring is Green.”

Choi Hyun Wook will play Ahn Su Ho, an honest and free-spirited person who has no interest in school life or his studies other than graduating without absences because he promised his grandmother to do so. He then meets Yeon Si Eun and Oh Beom Seok who he becomes friends with. Choi Hyun Wook has previously won the SBS Drama Awards Rookie of the Year award for “Taxi Driver,” and “Racket Boys.” The actor has also recently caught the public’s attention when he appeared on tvN’s hit drama “Twenty-Five Twenty-One.”

Hong Kyung will play Oh Beom Seok who will build a unique friendship with Yeon Si Eun and Ahn Su Ho, he admires Si Eun who became a ‘weak hero’ and Su Ho for his cool and honest personality, his friendship with them will inspire him to change for the better and become stronger. Hong Kyung has won Rookie of the Year award at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards for the movie “Innocence,” he also has previously impressed viewers when he appeared on “D.P.” and “Lovers of the Red Sky.”

Meanwhile, “Weak Hero” is set to be released in the second half of this year, it will be produced by Studio Wave, Playlist Studio, and Shortcake and co-produced by Jaedam Media.
