Park Hae Jin new drama “Forest” is up against huge competition!

Park Hae Jin has been away from TV for a while and fans have been anticipating his return to the small screen for the first time in three years. His new drama “Forest” premiered on January 29.

“Forest” aired in the same time slot as “Woman of 9.9 Billion” which enjoyed good ratings. “Forest” first episodes recorded an average of 7.1% and 7.4% nationwide according to Nielsen Korea. This is pretty good for a public channel drama these days.

However, on its second day, the ratings saw a sharp decrease; its 3rd and 4th episode rated an average of 4.7% and 5.1% nationwide. That’s because it’s up against big competition including TV Chosun’s audition program “Mister Trot,” the variety show is enjoying great popularity and has surpassed the 20% ratings mark recently. With its January 30 episodes, it scored an average of 20.8% and 25.7% nationwide.

Have you seen “Forest” first episodes so far? What did you think of it?
