Actress Hyun Ri gets married on December 25th after dating the Japanese actor for 5 years
On December 26th, Hyun Ri’s agency, The Truth, announced through an official statement, “Hyun Ri married Japanese actor Machida Keita on the 25th.” It is rumoured that the two, who met for the first time through work, promised to become lifelong companions after 5 years of dating.
Hyun Ri said through her agency, “I want to continue to work hard to become a better actress and play a role as a bridgehead for the development of the cultures of both countries.”
The agency said, “We ask for warm blessings and support for Hyun Ri, who has met a precious relationship and opened the second act of her new life.”
Hyun Ri, who was born and raised in Japan and worked as an actor there, is fluent in Korean, Japanese and English through studying abroad during her school days.
She appeared in films directed by Shunji Iwai, “The Bride of Rip Van Winkle”, Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s film “Spy’s Wife”, Apple TV+ “Pachinko”, and Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s film “Coincidence and Imagination”.
