Netflix has released the main poster and teaser for their upcoming drama “Remarriage & Desires”!
“Remarriages & Desires” tells the story of an exclusive matchmaking agency Rex, it caters to the upper members of society. The members of the service aim to upgrade their social status by marrying into the elites, in particular, those listed under the “Black” tier, an elite group that consists only of the top 0.1% of society. The drama stars Kim Hee Sun, Lee Hyun Wook, Jung Yoo Jin, Park Hoon, and Cha Ji Yeon.
Kim Hee Sun plays Seo Hye Seung, a woman who lost her husband and everything she has ever loved in an instant. When she later learns that the woman (Jin Yoo Hee) who ruined her life and was the cause of her husband’s death has entered Rex, she begins her revenge plan.
Jung Yoo Jin will play Jin Yoo Hee, a woman who destroys anything that is in front of her to get what she wants and now is trying to enter the high class society at Rex to improve her status. However, Seo Hye Seung, who knows her past, will be an obstacle for her.
Lee Hyun Wook will take on the role of Lee Hyeong Joo who belongs to the “Black tier” and has everything from looks, and education to financial power. Park Hoon will play Cha Seok Jin, a professor who is fighting over his father’s inheritance with his step-mother Choi Yoo Seon (Cha Ji Yeon). He later enters Rex and is among the “Black” tier, that’s where he meets his first love Seo Hye Seung whom he broke up with a long time ago.
Cha Ji Yeon will play Choi Yoo Seon, she is the CEO of Rex which is an upper-class marriage matchmaking company. Her agency Rex has risen to the top of the industry following the firm logic that “Marriage is a business where supply and demand meet” and services that accurately understand what customers need. Yoo Seon is not afraid to use people’s desires and greed for her own benefit.
The newly released poster features the five main characters who capture the attention with their powerful auras and different desires for entering the matchmaking agency. In particular, Seo Hye Seung’s white dress with black edges raises curiosity. The poster reads, “A scandal of revenge and desire.”
Meanwhile, the newly released teaser gives us a glimpse of the matchmaking agency Rex and the characters’ desires and goals. Jin Yoo Hee wants to marry someone from the Black Tier (those who fall into this category are considered the wealthiest). That’s when Seo Hye Seung enters the agency and plans her revenge against Jin Yoo Hee, the woman who ruined her life and her daughter’s by killing her husband.
Seo Hye Seung also meets her first love Cha Seok Jin, who is envied by everyone for being part of the Black Tier members, and his stepmother who owns the agency Choi Ji Yeon.
In addition, Lee Hyeong Joo is also introduced and he can be seen saying, “I don’t trust women,” making it clear that the reason he joined the agency is to look for a trophy wife not liable love.
