More Details About The Sudden Tragic Death Of Song Jae Rim Revealed, Police Reportedly Finds Letter At The Scene
Actor Song Jae Rim’s sudden death has also shocked both fans and the entertainment industry.
According to Asia Economic Daily on the 12th of November, Song Jae Rim was found dead in an apartment in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. Police found a two-page letter on the scene.
When contacted for a statement, his former agency said they did not know his whereabouts since his contract expired last year, indicating they were also taken aback by the news.
Song Jae Rim’s funeral will be held at Room 2 of the Yeouido Catholic Hospital funeral hall. The cremation will take place at noon on November 14 at the Seoul City Crematorium. His resting place has yet to be decided, and his cause of death has not been disclosed.
The sudden news has also shocked those in the entertainment and theater industries, as Song had consistently worked in projects since his debut. In August, he appeared on Good Morning FM with Taei on MBC FM4U in the “Musical Fridays” segment as part of his role in the musical The Rose of Versailles.
According to various reports, his body was discovered by a friend who arrived at his home for a pre-arranged lunch meeting and subsequently reported it to the police.
A police representative noted that no signs of foul play were detected, although a letter was reportedly found at the scene. The family has requested a private funeral and has refrained from commenting on the exact cause of death.
Born in 1985, Song Jae Rim made his debut in 2009 with the film Actresses. He went on to act in many dramas, including The Moon Embracing the Sun, Two Weeks, Inspiring Generation, Goodbye Mr. Black, Secret Mother, and more. His most recent work on stage was in the musical The Rose of Versailles, which ended on October 13, marking his final performance.
Additionally, he appeared in various films across the years establishing himself as a reliable actor. Most recently, he played the role of Go Pae in the TVING drama “Queen Woo,” which has become his last role before his sudden tragic passing.
