MOMOLAND Daisy has revealed some shocking admissions about Mnet’s show “Finding Momoland.”

Last year, Mnet was involved in a huge controversy after it was revealed that the rankings of its produce series were manipulated, according to Daisy, the lineup for the 2016 survival show “Finding Momoland” was manipulated as well.

“Finding Momoland” was a reality show that aired between July and September of 2016, trainees from MLD Entertainment competed for a spot on what would become MOMOLAND. The final lineup was determined based on 60% of producer evaluation, 20% on online viewer votes, and 20% on votes from the audience at the final performances.

The broadcasting network that revealed this was KBS, the interview with Daisy went live on January 7, her mother was also there with her. In short details, Daisy revealed that the agency contacted her after she was eliminated to let her know that she will debut in the next album with the group, they told her not to worry because they had plans for her.

In response to this, a source from MLD Entertainment stated that it was true they had offered her to join the next album, however, they explain that they merely added a new member to fill in aspects they thought the group was lacking in.

The KBS report also explains that Daisy had to pay for the production fees of the survival show. In 2017, she found out she was approx. $60,000 in debt, her agency told her it was part of the production cost for the survival show, Daisy says the total amount was divided by the rest of the members. Other members of MOMOLAND also paid tens of thousands of dollars.

MOMOLAND agency explained that this was agreed on with the members and they had already explained that they should pay these production fees, they deny it’s problematic because it was already written into the contract.

A source from Mnet parent company CJ commented that they didn’t directly produce the show and they only programmed it for broadcasting since MOMOLAND agency subcontracted them, CJ claims they have no idea about how the members were chosen or anything about the production costs, or the promotions.

However, KBS reports something that contradicts CJ’s response, Mnet main PD has even taken part in the press conference of that show and had also been involved in decorating the stage for the final performance, they also aired re-runs of “Finding Momoland” after MOMOLAND popularity rose in 2018.

Daisy is reported to be taking steps to cancel her contract with the label.
