The situation regarding Lee Sun Kyun’s alleged drug use intensifies with this recent report from police.
According to the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug crime investigation unit on the 19th, the police are currently conducting preliminary investigations (internal investigations) on eight individuals, including actor A in his 40s, on charges related to drug control under the narcotics law. It was reported that in addition to A, aspiring entertainers, entertainment establishment managers, and employees were also under investigation for the same charges.

An official from the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency confirmed to media outlets that Lee Sun Kyun was being harassed and threatened by individuals related to the incident.

The Kyunggi Newspaper reported this information before his agency’s statement was released. The newspaper reported based on information from informants and interviews with the police that the top star who was under investigation for drug charges had handed over a large sum of money under pressure from drug suppliers.
Regarding this, a police official stated, “It is not that he was extorted money from drug suppliers, but that he handed over an amount of about 350 million won ($258,000) due to harassment from individuals related to the incident,” adding that “this is included in the complaint submitted by Lee Sun Kyun to the police.”
Park Sung-cheol, the lawyer representing Lee Sun Kyun, stated, “The facts have not been fully confirmed yet, and I have not received any contact or summonses from the investigative agencies, so it is not easy to understand the details.” He added, “Once the investigative agencies summon and conduct the minimum procedures, we can discuss the specific facts, respond to false information dissemination related to suspicions, and so on.”
The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency plans to disclose some of the investigation progress regarding this case on the 23rd.
