Lee Seung Gi’s Legal Representative Explains The Reasoning Behind Requesting Proof Of Accounting Receipts From Hook Entertainment
Singer and actor Lee Seung Gi is expected to examine whether his agency Hook Entertainment has been transparent in the sales and settlement of not only his music earrings but also the overall entertainment activities he has done so far.
On November 24, Lee Seung Gi’s legal representative who is under Pacific Law Firm released an official statement to news outlets to further explain the current situation. He wrote,
Earlier, Lee Seung Gi demanded for a proof of contents from his agency through the law firm Pacific Ocean on November 17, saying that he had not properly received the proceeds of his music for over 18 years when he signed an exclusive contract with Hook Entertainment. Earlier, Hook Entertainment was in the middle of controversy after being raided by the National Police Agency.
Hook Entertainment then announced in an official release on November 18, “We received content certification of content from Lee Seung Gi and are reviewing related data accordingly and preparing an answer. We will try to wrap up the problem smoothly without misunderstanding between the two sides.”
In addition, Kwon Jin Young, CEO of Hook Entertainment, said on November 21, “If Hook Entertainment or any individual is clearly confirmed to be legally responsible, we will not back down or avoid it. We will be more careful not to cause any more concern to everyone.”
However, on November 23, Dispatch released an audio recording of the conversation between CEO Kwon, the director of Hook Entertainment, and the manager of Lee Seung Gi at a meeting on November 17, which caused a stir.
In the alleged audio recording, which was recorded by Lee Seung Gi’s manager, CEO Kwon said,

Meanwhile, despite these controversies, Lee Seung Gi will participate in the recording of season 2 of the movie “The Great Family” and the SBS entertainment show “All The Butlers” as scheduled. In particular, he recently shaved his head to film “The Great Family.”
