The Production company addresses the reports saying that the actor Lee Jung Jae‘s appearance fee for season 2 of the Netflix series “Squid Game” amounts to 1 billion won ($ 697,000) per episode.

On October 11, the production company Cyron Pictures told MyDaily, “It has not been discussed yet and we are currently working on the script.

Earlier in the day, a media outlet exclusively reported that Lee Jung Jae will receive 1 billion won ($ 697,000) per episode for his appearance in Season 2 of “Squid Game.” The media outlet explained that the Korean production team made the decision after a long discussion with Netflix over compensation such as production costs and fees.

Meanwhile, “Squid Game,” which depicts a life-threatening survival game to win 45.6 billion won in prize money, became the first Korean series to top Netflix in the world, creating a box office sensation and confirming the production of season 2.
