Squid Game” continues to make history!

On September 12 local time, the 2022 Emmy Awards were held. Lee Jung Jae, Jung Ho Yeon, Park Hae Soo, Oh Young Soo, and director Hwang Dong Hyuk attended the ceremony since the show was nominated for multiple awards.

Lee Jung Jae became the first Asian actor to win Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. You can check out his speech below!

Hwang Dong Hyuk also won an award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series. He went up against some of the biggest names in Hollywood including the directors of “Ozark,” “Severance,” “Succession,” and “Yellowjackets.” This marks the first time a non-English language drama won this category.
