Lee Joon Hyuk Returns In “Stranger” Spin-Off “Good Or Bad Dong Jae” As Drama Confirms Premiere Date

“Good or Bad Dong Jae” has confirmed its premiere date!

On the 12^th of September, TVING’s original series “Good or Bad Dong Jae” released a character poster, signaling the intriguing return of Seo Dong Jae (played by Lee Joon Hyuk).

As a spin-off of the genre-defining “Stranger,” “Good or Bad Dong Jae” follows prosecutor Seo Dong Jae’s fierce survival journey as he strives to be recognized in the present, shedding the label of being a “sponsor prosecutor.” After surviving hell, Seo Dong Jae faces a relentless showdown with Nam Wan Seong (played by Park Sung Woong), CEO of Ihong Construction, who dredges up Seo Dong Jae’s past mistakes.

The announcement of a spin-off focused on the character of Seo Dong Jae, an amusing yet hard-to-hate figure, sparked excitement. Fans are especially thrilled as Lee Joon Hyuk reprises his role, leading the drama. The spin-off also reunites writer Lee Soo Yeon, who crafted “Stranger” seasons 1 and 2, with writers Hwang Ha Jung and Kim Sang Won, raising expectations for the story. Directed by Park Gun Ho, the series promises high-quality production.

The production team shared, “We wanted to explore a new story from Seo Dong Jae’s perspective, who, despite his cunning, also shows a human side. As the title suggests, the character has always been somewhere between ‘good or bad,’ and we’re excited to present a fresh narrative in this TVING original.”

“Good or Bad Dong Jae” is set to premiere on October 10.
