In a recent interview with Singles magazine, Lee Joon Gi explains the reason why he initially was reluctant to star in SBS’ new drama “Again My Life.”

On April 21, Singles Magazine released a new pictorial featuring SBS’ new drama “Again My Life” leads Lee Joon Gi and Kim Ji Eun.

Both actors sat down for an interview with the magazine where they talked about their new drama “Again My Life,” Lee Joon Gi then revealed that he initially was hesitant to accept the offer to star in this drama.

“Again My Life” tells the story of a young prosecutor Kim Hee Woo (Lee Joon Gi) who gets a second chance to pursue justice after failing to bring down a powerful person. The drama was originally a novel written by Lee Hae Nal, it was later released as a webtoon.

In the interview, Lee Joon Gi talked about his character Kim Hee Woo in “Again My Life” and how he shares similarities with him, from their personalities to the way they both enjoy getting physical.

In spite of Lee Joon Gi having these similarities with his character, he revealed that he initially was unsure if he wanted to accept the role or not. The actor explained that he was afraid the character was very similar to the ones he played before, but the director convinced him otherwise, he said,

“I had a lot of conversations with the director on the filming set. We discovered new directions that we can capture the more we thought about it.”

He then thanked the actors, director and the staff for helping him with his character.

Lee Joon Gi then added,

“If each person’s life became better and more enjoyable after watching this work then I think I will be able to feel a greater sense of accomplishment than ever before.”
