Lee Jong Suk Confirmed For 1st Project Since The Massive Success Of “Big Mouth”
Actor Lee Jong Suk returns in “Seocho-dong.”
Recently, it was confirmed that the actor will be making a comeback with a new drama. tvN’s “Seocho-dong” is a coming-of-age drama about associate lawyers (or “associates”) who go to work daily in the Seocho-dong legal district.
Lee Jong Suk is making his small-screen comeback three years after “Big Mouth” (2022) to play Ahn Joo Hyung, a 9-year lawyer. Joo Hyung became a lawyer because he found logic and cases interesting, not out of a passion for defending the weak, enforcing justice, or changing the world. Now a nine-year veteran at the same firm without a single job change, he has become a “fixture” with a record-setting associate salary but is too complacent to open his own practice. However, the peace of his workplace is soon disrupted.
The series is directed by Park Seung Woo, who previously directed “Kairos” (2020) and was on the B team for “W” (2016). This will be his first collaboration with Lee Jong Suk in nine years. The script is written by current lawyer Lee Seung Hyun, and it will air in the first half of next year.
