Lee Jong Suk and YoonA have recently greeted fans with the new MBC drama “Big Mouth” and they play a married couple in it, so how do they feel about playing a married couple?
Lee Jong Suk and YoonA have made an appearance at “Big Mouse” press conference to talk about working together, their characters, and more.
In particular, Lee Jong Suk says he was satisfied with the couple’s acting alongside YoonA. He said,
“It is the first time for me to act as a couple. I’ve known YoonA for a long time, and I was excited to work together. In the drama, I often acted in my own place rather than meeting and acting together with each other. When I saw the edited version, I knew that YoonA was struggling.”
YoonA cleverly added, “I thought if my husband is Lee Jong Suk, I wouldn’t have to worry. I didn’t have much to worry about, but I felt sorry that we had less time together because of the physical distance.”
Lee Jong Suk talked about how impressed he was by her detailed acting. YoonA said, “I put all my heart and soul into the work.“
As the actress challenged this genre for the first time, she must have felt a lot of pressure, about that she said,
“This is the first time I’ve filmed for such a long time. It was my first time playing the Noir genre and nurse role, so I thought I could show a new side of Mi Ho’s wisdom, the hard inside and soft outside. I thought the personality of Mi Ho, ‘Being gentle in appearance and tough in spirit’ was very cool. I hope that characteristics will be reflected well and I come to know it. I also want to hear from viewers that ‘the nurse role suits you.’”
Producer Oh praised the two actors and the drama, he said,
“It’s a drama that viewers can enjoy up till the last episode 16. You will fall in love with it the moment you watch it.
The actors are good at acting, so the moment you watch it, it shines.” I was worried about Mi Ho. She’s tough but also has to seem like an angel to viewers, and you have to break through something.”
He also talked about one of his memorable moments working on the drama, he said, “The moment when YoonA decided to do this work together is the most memorable for me.”
“Big Mouse” airs on MBC every Friday and Saturday.
