Lee Dong Wook is coming back with a more spectacular look in “The Tale Of The Nine Tailed 1938”.
tvN’s new drama “The Tale Of The Nine Tailed 1938” released a teaser poster announcing the meaningful return of Gumiho Lee Yeon (played by Lee Dong Wook) on March 28th. It raises expectations about what events await him who has been summoned to the chaotic year of 1938.
“The Tale Of The Nine Tailed” which received great love by showing the essence of ‘K-fantasy’, unfolds its second story in three years. “The Tale Of The Nine Tailed 1938” is a fantasy action drama about Lee Yeon, a nine-tailed fox who made an emergency landing in 1938 in an era of chaos. On top of the original worldview that exquisitely weaves indigenous gods and native monsters, it will return with more dynamic action and scale, and more colorful characters from tales. Above all, the reunion of director Kang Shin Hyo and writer Han Woo Ri, as well as the meeting of trustworthy actors such as Lee Dong Wook, Kim So Yeon, Kim Bum, and Ryu Kyung Soo will thrill fans of the drama.
In the teaser poster, the appearance of Lee Yeon, captured in an unfamiliar street where darkness has fallen, is intense and captivating. The lined Japanese signboards suggest that he made an emergency landing in Gyeongseong in 1938. The phrase ‘I and the world I belong to have all begun to twist’, followed by Lee Yeon’s mysterious aura standing under the moonlight, and the distorted coexistence of modern times and 1938, foreshadow a huge event that he will face.
Lee Yeon, who had a happy ending with his ‘eternal first love’ Nam Ji Ah (Jo Bo Ah), is recalled to 1938 when she gets caught up in an unexpected incident. It is expected that Lee Yeon’s desperate struggle to return to the modern world with his precious person will be dynamically drawn.
The production team of “The Tale Of The Nine Tailed 1938” said, “As the stage has changed, the expanded story, scale, and more colorful characters give new fun. We will present the essence of K-Fantasy Action Live,” he said adding, “Please look forward to how Lee Yeon, who made a crash landing in the era of chaos in 1938, will bring joy and excitement to viewers.”
“The Tale Of The Nine Tailed 1938” will premiere on May 6.
