Two of the most anticipated kdramas of May have finally premiered last night, and the ratings results of their premiere are in.

“Lawless Lawyer” and “Secret Mother” are competing against each other each Saturday. However, “Secret Mother” airs four episodes (35 minutes each) back to back, while “Lawless Lawyer” airs 1 episode per day each Saturday and Sunday.

According to Nielsen Korea, “Secret Mother” rated 4.8%, 6.5%, 6.5%, and 7.8% for its 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th episode respectively. tvN’s “Lawless Lawyer” rated 5.3%, which is considered very good for a cable channel.

My Thoughts

I haven’t had the chance to see any of the new dramas yet. Lee Joon Gi oppa looks too damn skinny in the teasers I have seen, but I like the pairing of the drama, besides, I like such type of dramas.

However, “Secret Mother” is the drama that intrigues me more at the moment. The subject its covering is very interesting and rarely discussed in kdramas. I must check out both and I will try my best to release reviews of them. I have highly expectations.

“Lawless Lawyer” ratings are pretty good for a cable channel first episode, this must mean that the drama made a splash with its debut, I can’t wait to see it!
