Popular Actor Couple Announce Their Breakup 1 Year After Publicly Dating
Actors Kwak Si Yang and Lim Hyun Joo have broken up after a year of public dating.
On the 5th of November, Kwak Si Yang’s agency, Drawing Entertainment, confirmed to MyDaily, “It’s true that they broke up. They decided to support each other’s future.”
A representative from Lim Hyun Joo’s agency, Studio Santa Claus, also confirmed to MyDaily, saying, “They recently broke up” and added, “They decided to remain good colleagues.”
Kwak Si Yang and Lim Hyun Joo publicly confirmed their relationship in September of last year. At that time, both sides stated, “They met naturally through acquaintances and continued to develop into a romantic relationship.”
Since then, they had openly displayed their affection on “Lovestagram.” In August, Kwak Si Yang appeared on the YouTube channel Bitter Brother Shin Dong Yup, where he mentioned Lim Hyun Joo, showing his affection for her. However, after about a year, they have decided to go their separate ways.
Meanwhile, Kwak Si Yang debuted in the 2014 film Night Flight and has appeared in works such as Oh My Ghost, Alice and Good Partner. He is also set to appear in the upcoming drama That Guy is Black Flame Dragon.
Lim Hyun Joo gained recognition through Channel A’s dating show Heart Signal 2 and has built her acting portfolio with appearances in Woong Woong Season 2, Engine ON Starting Today, and Three Meals a Day for Unemployed. Recently, she performed in the play Rental Apartment.
