Kwak Dong Yeon, Go Sung Hee, Bae Hyun Sung, and Kang Min Ah are confirmed to star in a new drama based on a webtoon!
On May 13, it was confirmed that Kwak Dong Yeon, Go Sung Hee, Bae Hyun Sung, and Kang Min Ah will be starring in the upcoming drama “Gaus Electronics.”
“Gaus Electronics” is a drama based on the popular naver webtoon which grossed over 2.6 billion views and has gained huge popularity in Korea and globally too. The drama will realistically depict the joys and sorrows that every office worker goes through, it will also portray office love and friendships.
Kwak Dong Yeo will play Lee Sang Sik, an employee working in the third division of the marketing department of Gaus Electronics. He is a very blunt person who holds on to his beliefs and is not afraid to speak his mind, even to his seniors. He strongly believes in common sense to the point where he sometimes finds himself in trouble because of it.
Go Sung Hee will play Cha Na Ra, she is an assistant manager in the same branch of the marketing department who always suffers from headaches because of Lee Sang Sik. She is a hard worker with a fiery personality that burns like fire once it explodes. But in reality, she can’t handle anything that is outside her job and lacks daily life skills.
Bae Hyun Sung will play Baek Ma Tan, he is the successor of Power Group which is Gaus Electronic’s biggest competitor and is also Korea’s No. 2 company. Baek Ma Tan dreams of independence from his father and because of that he joined Gaus Electronics.
And lastly, Kang Min Ah will play Gun Gang Mi, who is also an employee in the third division of the marketing department. She is considered one of the most beautiful employees in the office thanks to her strict and steady diet. But when she gets drunk, her huge appetite, which she has been suppressing, takes over. Gun Gang Mi also has two faces that change dramatically depending on the situation.
This is the first time Kwak Dong Yeon, Go Sung Hee, Bae Hyun Sung, and Kang Min Ah are working together in the same drama, viewers are looking forward to how they will portray these characters and show their completely different personalities as they endure their careers in different ways. In addition, the creator of this new drama will be producer Seo Soo Min who has previously worked on “Gag Concert,” “The Producers,” and “The Sound of Your Heart.” And producer Park Joon Soo, who is known for his works such as “The God of Music” and “M Countdown,” will direct “Gaus Electronics.”
“Gaus Electronics” is set to premiere in the second half of 2022.
