Former SBS “Night of TV Entertainment” reporter and actress Jo Soo Hyun has reportedly attempted suicide but was saved by her brother who alerted the police after seeing her alarming text messages.
According to the police, Jo Soo Hyun had lost contact with her brother after sending him a series of alarming messages suggesting that she was going to commit suicide.
Police were dispatched after her younger brother reported that to police. It was revealed that she took around 20 sleeping pills and was unconscious in her home, she was rushed to a hospital and she is now okay.
She later apologized to fans and assured them she was doing well. She said,
“I am recovering now. I will show a good appearance in the future.”
Jo Soo Hyun worked as an MC for cable channels and also acted in a couple of shows such as the KBS morning drama “The Tale of Janghwa and Hongryeon.”
