Actress Jeon Mi Sun has passed away.
The news started circulating on June 29, various Korean news outlets reported on the matter. The actress was found dead in her hotel room in Jeonju, North Jeolla province, she was there for a play.
The actress was found in the bathroom of her hotel room after her manager called for help. The call came around 11:43 a.m. The actress was pronounced dead on the scene, her heart was not beating when the ambulance arrived. It is suspected that she committed suicide, the police are conducting an investigation to identify the exact cause of death.
Her agency also issued an initial statement in which they announce they’re heading to Jeonju after being informed of the sudden unfortunate news.
The play she was there to perform “Days and 2 Nights with My Mother” announced the cancellation of today’s performance in light of unfortunate news, they will be issuing a refund for the tickets purchased.
Jeon Mi Sun debuted as an actress in 1990 and has been in numerous movies and dramas across the years. Her last drama was tvN’s “He Is Psychometric” and she has a movie slated to be released in July.
