A new teaser of SBS upcoming drama “Backstreet Rookie” has been released!
After teasing fans with the first video teaser, SBS has released a second one and it introduces a completely different side of our main leads.
“Convenience Store Saet Byul” aka “Backstreet Rookie” is based on the hit webtoon of the same name and tells the story of convenience store owner Choi Dae Hyun (played by Ji Chang Wook) and part-time employee Jung Saet Byul (played by Kim Yoo Jung). The convenience store goes through some serious changes after Jung Saet Byul begins working there as a part-time employee.
In the newly released teaser, Jung Saet Byul’s wild character is front and center, she fights off high school students and gets Choi Dae Hyun into lots of trouble, SBS even teased a kiss of the two characters in the second teaser.

“Backstreet Rookie” has confirmed to air its first episode on June 12 following the conclusion of SBS’s “The King: Eternal Monarch.”
