Actor Kim Tae Hee‘s agency refuted the report saying she was subject to irregular tax audits.
On March 1, Kim Tae Hee’s agency Story J dismissed the tax evasion rumors by stating that the current situation arose due to a delay in payment by an advertising client when her management contract with the former agency (Lua Entertainment) expired.
Earlier in the day, Ajou Economy reported, “The National Tax Service launched an irregular (special) tax investigation into Kim Tae Hee and Lua Entertainment in 2021. Kim Tae Hee was subjected to an intensive tax investigation and received hundreds of millions of won to be paid in taxes.”

This statement is to correct the tax-related matters of actor Kim Tae Hee.
Over the past few years, actor Kim Tae Hee has sincerely taken care of the tax issues and has faithfully paid taxes according to the law of the tax authorities.
The current situation is that when the management contract with actor Kim Tae Hee’s former agency (Lua Entertainment) expired, the deposit of advertising model fees to be paid by the client had been somewhat delayed.
The former agency in charge of management was an advertising model contract, so of course, the model fee was deposited to the former agency, and after the expiration of the agency contract, it was deposited to actor Kim Tae Hee.
The former agency and actor Kim Tae Hee also reported and paid taxes on sales with good faith, but because of each other’s opinions of viewing the profits as the actor’s own personal profits, not of the former agency’s corporation, they only paid additional tax-related parts.

Meanwhile, in addition to Kim Tae Hee, Lee Byung Hun, and Kwon Sang Woo are known to have been subject to irregular tax audits by the National Tax Service.
