Actor Kim Soo Hyun has finally enlisted in the military to fulfill his duties on October 23, ahead of his military enlistment he wrote one last message to his fans.
The actor arrived to a recruit training centre in Paju, many fans were waiting for him and said their goodbyes with handmade signs.
In his Instagram post he wrote,
“Hello, this is Kim Soo Hyun. I wanted to briefly greet you before enrolling. I would like to thank all those who have always supported me. I will return with good health. I hope everyone will stay healthy.”
Regarding the actor’s decision to privately enlist, a source from his agency explained his decision,
“Kim Soo Hyun wanted to enlist quietly, he is a Korean man and there is only one difference between him and others enlisting, he happens to be a celebrity, its burdensome to be signalled out. Wouldn’t you agree that its important to not cause discomfort to others who are enlisting with him?”
Kim Soo Hyun will undergo basic training for five weeks. He will be discharged on July 22, 2019.
